Homefield farm treats your personal information, in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation, (called the GDPR), with effect from 25 May 2018 and current UK Data Protection legislation. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you, namely for the purposes of the recruitment exercise, and how long it will usually be retained for.
We will comply with data protection law and principles, which means that your data will be:

  • Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained to you and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.
  • Relevant to the purposes we have told you about and limited only to those purposes.

  • Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes we have told you about.

In connection with your application for work with us, we will collect, store, and use the following categories of personal information about you:
  • The information you have provided on our application form
  • The information you have provided to us in your CV and covering letter.
  • Any information you provide to us during an interview.
  • Information about your health, including any medical condition, health and sickness records.
  • Information about criminal convictions and offences.
During the application process, there is a tick box where you specifically confirm that you agree your information will be used in the administration of your employment and may be provided to third parties as appropriate to include, your employer, Homefield farm’s Human Resources & welfare management partner, Ethical Audit Contractor, DEFRA, the Home Office, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA), parties involved in the organisation of your travel, insurers and any other government agencies.
By ticking the box you also consent that your biometric data will be used by the Home Office, UKVI, Border control and any other relevant parties to ensure my safety whilst in the UK and to ensure my intentions to enter the UK are in line with the rules of the scheme. You also give consent that you will provide pin drop locations if requested during your visa duration and you consent that you may be interviewed by Homefield farm staff who have received basic lie detection training.
We may also use the information if there is a complaint or legal challenge relevant to our recruitment process or your employment.
We may check the information collected, with third parties or with other information held by us. We may also use or pass to third parties’ information to prevent or detect crime, to protect public funds, or in other ways as permitted by law.
We may use information collected from you to inform you of changes to our terms and conditions, changes to the functionality of our website, that we are changing or introducing for your benefit.
While you are a Homefield farm recruitment candidate or applicant, we manage information with regard to your application. We may store electronic mail and other communications we receive from you as a necessary incident to your application or inquiry regarding employment
